Early Morning Crash Claims The Life Of Seaford Man

Seaford, DE - A 25-year-old Seaford man has passed away as a result of a single-vehicle crash this morning on Hastings Farm Road. Delaware State Police are investigating the incident, which happened just north of Coverdale Road in Seaford, Delaware.

The crash happened around 6:40 a.m. on July 10, 2026. Police say a Hyundai Veloster was heading south on Hastings Farm Road at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control.

The car ran off the east side of the road. It struck a chain link fence, then hit a parked vehicle in a private driveway before overturning and hitting a tree.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have not released his name yet, as they are still working to notify his family.

Hastings Farm Road was closed for an extended period so investigators could work the scene. It has since reopened.

The Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit is still looking into what led up to the crash. At this time, the exact cause remains under investigation.
