Easton Man Arrested After Allegedly Pointing Gun at Another Person
Easton, MD - An Easton man is facing a serious charge after police say he pointed a gun at another person on a residential street earlier this week.
On May 5, 2026, officers with the Easton Police Department responded to the Village Street area after receiving a report of a subject with a gun. When officers arrived, they spoke with the person who made the call.
That person told officers that a man had pointed a gun directly at him. He was also able to provide police with a photo of the man he identified.
Using that photo, officers identified the man as Kirk H. Hynson, 63, of Easton. Officers then went to his residence to make contact with him.
During the investigation at Hynson's home, officers located a firearm. According to police, the gun matched the description that the victim had provided.
Hynson was placed under arrest and charged with Assault in the First Degree. He was then transported to the Talbot County Detention Center.
