Easton, MD - An Easton man is facing multiple charges after a domestic disturbance call led police to discover he had threatened someone with a large kitchen knife and physically confronted an arriving officer.

On the evening of May 2, 2026, officers from the Easton Police Department responded to a residence after a 911 call disconnected with yelling audible in the background. When officers arrived, they could hear a heated verbal argument taking place inside the home.

Officers announced their presence at the door, but the disturbance continued. Entry was eventually granted, and officers found Lequan Savage, 32, of Easton, Maryland, involved in a heated argument with two other individuals inside the residence.

As officers worked to separate everyone involved, Savage became physical. He made unwanted contact with one of the officers and was taken into custody.

The investigation revealed that before police arrived on scene, Savage had picked up a large kitchen knife and threatened to kill one of the other individuals during the argument.

When officers entered the home, the knife was no longer visible. It was later found concealed beneath a couch.

Both other individuals at the scene appeared visibly shaken and fearful following the incident.

The situation left little question about the level of fear Savage's actions created before police got there.

During a search following his arrest, officers found a glass smoking device on Savage that contained burnt residue. The item was consistent with drug paraphernalia.

Savage was charged with Assault in the Second Degree and additional charges related to the paraphernalia found during the search. He was transported to the Talbot County Detention Center following his arrest.
