Easton Man Arrested for Assault After Kicking Victim in Face

Easton, MD - Easton man is facing assault charges after police say he kicked a victim in the face during a dispute at a local residence.

Officers from the Easton Police Department responded to a home on May 22, 2026, after a report of an assault. When they arrived, they made contact with a victim and a male party who was later identified as Cesar Mauricio Argueta-Castellanos, 31, of Easton.

According to police, the incident started as a verbal argument before it turned physical. Argueta is accused of kicking the victim multiple times in the face during that confrontation.

When officers arrived, they could see the victim had a cut on their bottom lip that was still bleeding. The visible injury was consistent with what the victim reported had happened.

Argueta was placed under arrest at the scene and charged with Assault in the Second Degree. He was later released to the custody of the Talbot County Detention Center.

The Easton Police Department handled the investigation. No additional information has been released at this time.
