Easton Man Arrested on Dorchester Probation Warrant
Talbot County, Maryland - On October 15, 2026, deputies with the Talbot County Sheriff's Office arrested a 29-year-old Easton man after a traffic stop turned up an active warrant.
The man was identified as Brendan Scott Bethea, 29, of Easton, Maryland.
Deputies stopped a vehicle Bethea was driving. He didn't have a driver's license, so deputies wrote him citations for driving without a license.
While deputies ran a check on his records, they found he was wanted in Dorchester County. The District Court for Dorchester County had issued a warrant for his arrest on a charge of violation of probation.
Bethea had been on probation for an earlier charge of "attempt to elude a police officer."
Deputies took Bethea to the Talbot County Central Booking facility. He was processed there and then went before a District Court Commissioner for his first appearance.
Bethea was released after that first appearance on a $1,500 unsecured personal bond. With an unsecured bond, he didn't have to pay any money up front to go home, but he could owe that amount if he doesn't follow the terms of his release, like showing up for court.
This isn't the only case Bethea is facing. The sheriff's office says he also has open charges in Bel Air, Maryland, for similar incidents involving driving without a license.
