Easton Man Arrested on Drug Possession Charge

Talbot County, MD - On August 25, 2026, deputies with the Talbot County Sheriff's Office arrested Travon Decarlos Copper, 40, of Easton, Maryland. A District Court Commissioner had issued a warrant charging Copper with possession of a controlled substance.

Deputies took Copper into custody and transported him to the Talbot County Central Booking facility.

There, he went through the standard booking process that follows any arrest in the county.

Copper then had an initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner. This is a routine step required after someone is arrested and booked. During this appearance, a commissioner reviews the charges and decides on things like bail or conditions of release.

In this case, Copper was released on a $15,000 unsecured personal bond.
