Easton Man Arrested on DUI Warrant in Talbot County

Talbot County, MD - Talbot County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested an Easton man on September 13, 2026. Rene Alejandro Lopez Gomez, 26, was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant.

The warrant was issued by the Talbot County District Court on June 26, 2024. It charged Gomez with failing to appear for a scheduled court hearing.

That hearing was tied to an original charge of driving under the influence of alcohol. Gomez missed the court date, which led to the warrant being issued.

After the arrest, Gomez was taken to the Talbot County Central Booking facility for processing. He then had an initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner.

Gomez is being held pending further court action. No additional details have been released at this time.
