Easton Man Assaults Deputies During St. Michaels Arrest
Talbot County, MD - On September 10, 2026, deputies with the Talbot County Sheriff's Office arrested Ty'Raye Maurice Wilson, 31, in St. Michaels, Maryland.
Deputies were requested to help the St. Michaels Police Department locate and arrest Wilson in connection with an assault.
Deputies found Wilson and told him he was under arrest. Wilson resisted and struck deputies with a closed fist as they tried to take him into custody. Deputies were eventually able to get him in handcuffs after a struggle.
Wilson complained of being injured during the arrest. He was taken to the University of Maryland Shore Regional Hospital for treatment. He was treated for superficial injuries and then released.
Wilson now faces several charges. These include assault on a law enforcement officer, two counts of second degree assault, four counts of resisting arrest, obstructing a police officer, disorderly conduct and failure to obey a reasonable lawful order.
Wilson was taken to the Talbot County Central Booking facility for processing. He had an initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner. He is being held without bond.
