Easton Man Charged in Capriotti's Tip Jar Theft
Talbot County, MD - An Easton man is facing a theft charge after police say he was caught on camera taking cash from a tip jar at a local sandwich shop earlier this year.
Kevin R. Meissner, 33, of Easton, Maryland, was served with a criminal summons on June 1 at the Easton Police Department. He's charged with one count of theft under $100.
The case goes back to January 16, 2026, when officers responded to Capriotti's on Marlboro Avenue for a reported theft that had taken place.
The person who called the police said a man had taken cash from the tip jar and left the building.
Officers were able to identify the suspect as Meissner using security camera footage from the business.
