Easton Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Charges

Talbot County, MD - On August 14, 2026, deputies with the Talbot County Sheriff's Office tried to stop a vehicle near S. Washington Street and Port Street in Easton, Maryland for a moving violation. The vehicle pulled over at first.

As the deputy walked up to the car, the driver sped off. A brief pursuit followed.

During the chase, deputies saw the driver throwing items out of the vehicle. The driver eventually stopped and was identified as Tony Edward Seth Jr, 46, of Cambridge, Maryland.

Deputies recovered the items thrown from the car and found they were a controlled substance.

Seth was placed under arrest. He was charged with possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, fleeing and eluding police, and several traffic violations.

Seth was taken to the Talbot County Central Booking facility for processing. He had an initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner and is being held pending further action by the courts.

On August 17, 2026, Seth appeared in the Talbot County District Court for a bond hearing in front of the Honorable Karen R. Ketterman. Judge Ketterman gave Seth a $30,000 unsecured personal bond. He has since been released.
