Easton Woman Charged in Harris Teeter Theft

Easton, MD - A Cambridge woman is facing a theft charge after Easton police say she walked out of a local grocery store without paying for nearly $800 worth of merchandise.

Marcella M. Romero, 33, of Cambridge, Maryland, was served with a criminal summons by officers of the Easton Police Department on May 13, 2026. The charge against Romero is theft in the amount of $100 to $1,500.

The incident that led to the charge took place on January 14, 2026, at the Harris Teeter located at 28528 Marlboro Avenue in Easton.

According to police, store employees observed Romero inside the store with multiple items.

Employees then watched as Romero passed all points of sale without paying for those items. The total value of the merchandise came to $781.

Romero was released after signing all required paperwork related to the criminal summons.
