Fairplay Couple Arrested on Drug Charges in Talbot County

Talbot County, MD - On August 2, 2026, deputies with the Talbot County Sheriff's Office stopped a vehicle on Ocean Gateway near Dover Road for a moving violation. The stop led to a drug related investigation involving two people from Fairplay, Maryland.

Deputies identified the driver as Bonnie Brechbill, 55, and the passenger as Robert Brechbill, 39. Both are from Fairplay, Maryland.

During the stop, deputies developed probable cause to search the vehicle. A Talbot County Sheriff's Office K9 Unit assisted with the search.

Deputies found Bonnie and Robert Brechbill in possession of controlled substances and paraphernalia. Both were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia.

Bonnie and Robert Brechbill were taken to the Talbot County Central Booking facility for processing. Both had an initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner.

Bonnie Brechbill was released on a $1,500 unsecured personal bond. Robert Brechbill was released on a $1,000 unsecured personal bond.
