Federalsburg Man Arrested After Domestic Assault Call
Caroline County, MD - Deputies from the Caroline County Sheriff's Office responded to a Federalsburg home Saturday night after a domestic dispute turned physical, according to authorities.
The call came in around 7:13 p.m. on July 18, 2026, for a reported domestic assault at a residence on Riverwalk Terrace in Federalsburg, Maryland. When deputies arrived, both individuals involved were still on scene, along with two minor children who were inside the home at the time.
Investigators say a verbal argument between the victim and the suspect escalated when he pushed her and pinned her against a kitchen counter. She told deputies she feared for her safety during the incident.
During the confrontation, the suspect also took the victim's cell phone. Deputies later recovered the phone and returned it to her.
No obvious visible injuries were observed, and the victim declined medical treatment at the scene.
The suspect was identified as 37-year-old Brandon Samuel Wagner of Federalsburg, MD. He was taken into custody without incident and transported for processing.
Wagner faces the charge of Second Degree Assault.
Wagner appeared before a District Court Commissioner following his arrest. He was ordered held without bond and is now at the Caroline County Detention Center. His next court hearing is scheduled for Monday, July 20, 2026, which will be a bond review.
