Sussex County, DE - A Food Lion store in Seaford, Delaware, is recalling several varieties of freshly prepared ground beef after a mechanical malfunction may have caused fragments of processing equipment to end up in the meat.
The recall affects the Food Lion store located at 22954 Sussex Highway, Seaford, Del., 19973. It applies only to ground beef that was prepared in-store on April 28, 2026, with a Sell By Date of April 30, 2026.
Four varieties of fresh ground beef are included in the recall. Those products are the 73% Lean Fresh Ground Beef, 80% Lean Fresh Ground Chuck, 85% Lean Fresh Ground Round, and 93% Lean Fresh Ground Beef. All sizes of each variety are affected.
At this time, Food Lion says there are no complaints or reports of illness connected to the recalled products.
If you bought any of these products from that Seaford location with those matching dates, do not eat them. You can return the product to the store for a refund.
