Former Delaware Police Officer Indicted on 7 Rape Charges

State of DE - Attorney General Kathy Jennings has announced that the Delaware Department of Justice has indicted former police officer William Paskey. The 34 year old faces multiple counts of rape.

A Delaware Superior Court grand jury indicted Paskey, of Harrington, Delaware on September 7, 2026. He was charged with 7 counts of Rape Second Degree.

The indictment follows an investigation by the Delaware State Police Troop 3 Criminal Investigations Unit. Delaware State Police leadership reached out to the DOJ on their own after learning of sexual assault allegations against Paskey.

Attorney General Kathy Jennings released a statement on the case. "It is simply not possible to overstate how shocking these allegations are, let alone against someone who has been entrusted by the people of this state to keep them safe," Jennings said. "I'm grateful to the Delaware State Police for their thorough investigative work here; we will work to ensure that justice is done."

According to the indictment, Paskey raped at least seven victims between 2014 and 2025. Several of the incidents happened after Paskey met the victims on dating apps.

In some cases, Paskey brought victims back to his home in Felton. The assaults are alleged to have happened there.

During the years covered by the indictment, Paskey worked as a law enforcement officer for several different agencies. He held positions in both Delaware and Maryland.
