Wicomico County, MD - Summer just got a lot more exciting for Wicomico County families. Wicomico Recreation & Parks is bringing back its Summerfest series, kicking off Thursday, June 25. The best part? It's completely free.

"Summerfest gives families an opportunity to come out and enjoy the beautiful parks we have here in Wicomico County," said Recreation Specialist Randy McFadden. "We'll have free food, great music, kid-friendly games and a chance to connect with community vendors."

That means a fun-filled evening for the whole family without spending a dime. Whether you're looking for something to do with the kids or just want to enjoy the outdoors, Summerfest has you covered.

All events run from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursdays, so it's easy to plan your summer around them. Here's the full schedule to mark on your calendar.

June 25 kicks things off at Lake Street Playground with Field Day. On July 9, head to Billy Gene Jackson Sr. Park for an arts-themed celebration. Game Night takes over Doverdale Playground on July 23, and the series wraps up August 6 at Indian Village Playground with Water World.

Each event offers something a little different, so families may want to catch them all. From games to music to local vendors, there's plenty to explore at every stop.

This is a great chance to meet your neighbors, support local vendors, and make some summer memories close to home. Grab the family, bring a blanket, and head out to one of these parks this summer.
