Harrington Woman Arrested in Laurel After Trooper Finds Drugs During Traffic Stop
Laurel, DE - An early morning traffic stop in Laurel, Delaware led to the arrest of a Harrington woman on multiple drug charges, according to Delaware State Police.
The stop happened around 2:00 a.m. on Friday, May 1, 2026, on Fire Tower Road near Sycamore Road. A trooper pulled over a Chevrolet Cruze after observing a moving violation.
The trooper identified the driver as 38-year-old Nicole Kenton of Harrington, Delaware. During the stop, the trooper spotted drug paraphernalia in plain view inside the vehicle.
That observation led to a full search of the car. Troopers recovered additional drug paraphernalia along with approximately 48 bags of suspected heroin and approximately 0.85 grams of suspected cocaine. All of the drugs were determined to be in Kenton's possession.
Kenton also showed signs of impairment during the stop. She was taken into custody without incident and transported to Troop 5.
She was charged with several offenses including possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, a felony, possession of a controlled substance tier 1 quantity, also a felony, possession of a controlled substance, and five counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Kenton was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 11 and released on an $8,000 unsecured bond.
