Wicomico County, MD - The Hebron Convenience Center is reopening to residential permit holders this week. The Wicomico County Solid Waste Division says the site will be back open on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at 8 a.m.

The reopening comes after a full renovation at the site. Crews replaced the dock and bulkhead, completed earth work, poured a new 24x80 foot concrete base and pad, and finished up general site improvements.

According to the Solid Waste Division, the finishing touches are now being made ahead of the Wednesday reopening. County officials say they are proud of the completed project and plan to bring similar upgrades to other convenience centers across Wicomico County.

There is one thing regular Hebron customers should keep in mind. The site's waste-oil and antifreeze collection station is still under renovation and will not be available when the center reopens.

Residents needing to dispose of waste-oil or antifreeze can head to the main Solid Waste Campus on Brick Kiln Road instead. The next closest convenience center to your home is also an option. A full list of convenience and recycling centers is available on the Wicomico County website.

The Solid Waste Division expects the Hebron waste-oil and antifreeze collection to be back up and running in a few weeks.
