Hebron House Fire Displaces One Resident
Wicomico County, MD - On August 1, 2026, at approximately 1:52 p.m., the Hebron Volunteer Fire Company responded to the 27000 block of Log Cabin Road in Hebron, Maryland for a structure fire.
The home was a one story, wood framed, single family dwelling. A passer-by discovered the fire and called it in.
Fire officials say the fire started in the exterior deck area next to a wooden fence. Crews had the fire under control within 20 minutes.
Twenty five firefighters responded under one alarm. One person was displaced as a result of the fire.
Damage is estimated by the State Fire Marshal's Office at $50,000 to the structure and $10,000 to its contents.
The preliminary cause is listed as accidental, tied to discarded smoking material.
