Hit-and-Run in Denton: Do You Know This Driver?
Caroline County, MD - The Caroline County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help after a hit-and-run collision left a car owner dealing with damage and no answers.
Deputies in Caroline County, Maryland responded on May 27, 2026, to a hit-and-run motor vehicle collision was reported.
When deputies arrived, they learned what happened. A customer who had been inside the store walked out, got into a white passenger car and backed out of his parking space directly into a parked car. He then drove out of the parking lot and left without stopping to exchange information or report the crash.
Leaving the scene of an accident without providing documentation is a violation of Maryland law, even in minor collisions.
The vehicle is believed to be a Kia Optima, possibly a 2014 or 2015 model, with Maryland registration. The driver is described as an African American male who appears to be in his mid-20s, with tattoos on both arms.
Surveillance or witness information could be the key to identifying this driver and holding him accountable.
