Easton, MD - A Hurlock man is facing serious charges after being arrested last week on a warrant connected to an assault that took place at a local fire station earlier this year.

Thomas J. Linthurst, 39, was taken into custody on April 30, 2026, by officers of the Easton Police Department. He was charged with Assault in the First Degree, Assault in the Second Degree, and Reckless Endangerment.

The charges stem from an incident that occurred on February 26, 2026. Officers were called to the Easton Volunteer Fire Department in response to a reported assault. After that initial response, the victim chose to file charges against Linthurst, which led to the arrest warrant.

Linthurst was taken into custody and later transferred to the Talbot County Detention Center.

No additional details about the nature of the assault have been released at this time.
