Hurlock Man Charged With Violating Peace Order in Cambridge

Cambridge, MD - On Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at approximately 8:02 a.m., officers with the Cambridge Police Department served a criminal summons on a Hurlock man.

The man was identified as Jose Rubio, 39, of Hurlock, Maryland. He is charged with Peace Order Fail to Comply.

The charge goes back to a stretch of time in September. Police said the incident took place from Sunday, September 13, 2026, through Sunday, September 20, 2026.

It happened in the 400 block of Pleasant Street, Cambridge, Maryland.

According to police, it was reported that Rubio contacted the person protected by an active peace order.

The person protected by the order went to a District Court Commissioner and applied for charges against Rubio. A commissioner looks at the facts of a complaint and decides if charges should be filed.
