Hurlock Teen Arrested in Cambridge Willis Street Shooting

Dorchester County, MD - On September 28, 2026, at approximately 8:33 a.m., Cambridge Police Department detectives arrested a 15-year-old male from Hurlock in the 5800 block of Cloverdale Rd, Hurlock, MD. The Dorchester County Sheriff's Office helped detectives locate him.

Police had an active arrest warrant from the Dorchester County District Court. He was taken to the Cambridge Police Department for processing.

He was later turned over to the Dorchester County Department of Corrections. He is being held without bond.

The charges come from a shooting on July 25, 2026, in the 400 block of Willis St in Cambridge. Police said a 17-year-old male from Cambridge was shot multiple times.

At approximately 12:49 a.m. that day, officers went to the area after a Shot Spotter alert for multiple shots fired. While they were on the way, they learned a gunshot victim had arrived at the University of Maryland Shore Medical Center at Cambridge.

The CPD Criminal Investigations Division took over the case. Their investigation led to the 15-year-old being identified and charged.

He is charged with attempted first-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder. He also faces two counts of first-degree assault and two counts of second-degree assault.

Other charges include firearm use in a felony or violent crime, two counts of reckless endangerment, and discharging a firearm within city limits. Because he is a minor, we are not naming him.
