Man Arrested Following Threat of Mass Violence at Easton Hospital
Talbot County, MD - On April 1, 2026, officers from the Easton Police Department served an active Talbot County District Court arrest warrant on 47-year-old Jermaine A. Patton of Glen Burnie, Maryland.
The warrant charged Patton with making a threat of mass violence. Following the arrest, he was transported to the Talbot County Detention Center for booking before his initial appearance with a District Court Commissioner.
The charge stems from an incident reported on March 18, 2026. On that date, the Easton Police Department was dispatched to the University of Maryland Shore Medical Center of Easton regarding a phoned-in threat.
According to the investigation, the caller threatened to "blow the place down with everyone in it."
Through the subsequent investigation, the caller was identified as Patton. The Easton Police Department acknowledged the Anne Arundel County Police Department for their assistance in the case.
