Man Charged in Murder of 12-Year-Old Girl in Baltimore

State of MD - On October 3, 2026 at approximately 6:15 p.m., the Baltimore Police Department responded to the 1200 block of North Franklintown Road, Baltimore, MD for several calls about shots fired. Five people were hurt in the shooting, one of which was a 12-year-old girl who later passed away.

Baltimore Police have now made an arrest in the case. Detectives are still searching for a second suspect.
When officers arrived, they found a 25-year-old woman who had been shot. They also found a 12-year-old girl with a gunshot wound, and she was taken to a nearby hospital.

While officers were still at the scene, two men walked into area hospitals with gunshot wounds. One man was 28 years old and the other was 23.

Hospital staff worked to save the 12-year-old girl, but she tragically did not survive. Homicide detectives came to the scene and took over the investigation.

At approximately 10:00 p.m. that same night, detectives learned another person had been hurt. A 35-year-old woman walked into an area hospital with a graze wound to her back.

Police said the four adults who survived are in stable condition.

On October 6, 2026, Warrant Apprehension detectives arrested 23-year-old Tyree Reynolds of Baltimore. Police said the arrest happened without incident.

According to police, Reynolds was also shot during the incident, along with three other adults. Detectives say he is wanted for the killing of the 12-year-old girl.

Reynolds was taken to the Central Booking Intake Facility. He has been charged with first-degree murder.

The case remains open and active. Detectives are continuing to work to find the second suspect.
