Caroline County, MD - On November 3, 2026, at approximately 7:00 a.m., the Caroline County Sheriff's Office responded to the intersection of Union Road and Davis Road in Goldsboro, Maryland, for a reported crash.

Deputies say early findings show a 2017 Honda Civic was heading south on Davis Road. The car didn't stop at the stop sign and pulled into the intersection.

At the same time, a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling west on Union Road. The pickup hit the Honda on the driver's side.

Investigators believe fog and poor visibility that morning may have played a part in the crash.

The driver of the Honda, a 21-year-old man from Marydel, Maryland, was taken to an area hospital. He later died from his injuries.

The sheriff's office hasn't released his name yet. It's being held until his family has been notified.

The people inside the Silverado turned down medical care at the scene.

Union Road was closed for a long time after the crash. It stayed shut while investigators worked the scene and crews cleared the road.

The Maryland State Police Crash Team also came out to the scene. They're helping the sheriff's office look into what happened.

The crash is still under investigation. If you saw it happen or have any information that could help, call the Caroline County Sheriff's Office at 410-479-2515.
