Milford Man Arrested on Burglary and Child Endangerment Charges
Milford, DE - On Monday, August 3, 2026, the Milford Police Department arrested Deberson Jean Baptiste, 30, of Dover, Delaware, in connection with a domestic related incident that happened on July 18, 2026 in the 200 block of Columbia St in Milford, Sussex County, Delaware.
The investigation found that Jean Baptiste entered the victim's home without permission and stayed there without permission. While inside, he damaged the victim's property.
Police say children were inside the home and saw or heard what happened. Investigators also learned that Jean Baptiste was already out on bond for another domestic related case involving the same victim.
Jean Baptiste was charged with Burglary 2nd Degree, a felony. He was also charged with Breach of Conditions of Bond during commitment, a felony.
He faces two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Committed Crime Child Witnessed by Sight or Sound. He was also charged with Criminal Mischief Under $1000 Damage to Property.
Jean Baptiste had a presentment through Justice of the Peace Court 3. The magistrate revoked his previous bond and set a new secured bond of $14,100.
A no contact order was also issued between Jean Baptiste and the victims in this case. He was turned over to the Department of Correction and has a future court date set in Sussex County.
