Milford Motorcyclist Dies After Crash on DuPont Blvd

Sussex County, DE - On July 31, 2026, at approximately 1:15 a.m., Delaware State Police and Milford Police responded to the intersection of N. DuPont Blvd. and N. Walnut St. for a two-vehicle crash.

A black Harley Davidson motorcycle was heading northbound on N. DuPont Blvd. approaching the intersection. The motorcycle failed to stop at the traffic signal and collided with a gray GMC Acadia that was turning left onto N. DuPont Blvd. from Warner Rd.

The motorcycle operator was ejected in the crash. The GMC Acadia then struck a fire hydrant and a utility pole, leaving the SUV with disabling damage.

Troopers and Milford Police officers began life saving measures on the motorcycle operator at the scene. He was a 20-year-old male and was taken to an area hospital in critical condition.

The 17-year-old male driving the GMC Acadia was not injured in the crash.

Investigators later learned the 20-year-old motorcycle operator died from his injuries. He has been identified as Gavin Webb of Milford, Delaware.
