Multiple Arrests Made at Unsanctioned Cosby Avenue Pop-Up Event in Cambridge
Cambridge, MD - The Cambridge Police Department was notified on April 9, 2026, about an unsanctioned pop-up event planned for the 1000 block of Cosby Avenue the following day.
According to the department, past events of this nature have placed significant pressure on law enforcement. These gatherings often affect nearby residents due to large crowds, disorderly activity, and violence.
Police noted that these events are frequently promoted on social media. They attract individuals from across Cambridge and surrounding areas, including many juveniles.
During the event on April 10, officers made multiple arrests in the area. At approximately 9:24 p.m., Cambridge Police Department officers arrested 37-year-old Travonte Ramar McCready of Cambridge at the intersection of Cosby Avenue and Leonard's Lane for disorderly conduct.
Shortly after, at approximately 9:40 p.m., 20-year-old Isaiah Myki Louis Jones of Reliance, Maryland, was arrested at 1022 Cosby Avenue, also for disorderly conduct. Both subjects were transported to the police department for processing and were later released on criminal citations.
Later in the evening, at approximately 10:55 p.m., officers responded to the 600 block of Greenwood Avenue. A 17-year-old female juvenile from Cambridge was arrested for trespassing after refusing to leave the area. During the incident, the juvenile resisted officers.
She was placed under arrest, transported to the police department for processing, and subsequently released to a parent or guardian.
