Music, Culture and Halloween Fun Fill Downtown Salisbury

Salisbury, MD - Downtown Salisbury has four events planned for October. The lineup includes live music, cultural performances, local vendors and Halloween activities. Here is a look at what is coming up.

3rd Friday will become Boo Bash on Friday, Oct. 16, from 5 to 8 p.m. in Downtown Salisbury.

The Halloween-themed evening will feature local vendors with handmade goods, art, treats and other unique items. Costumes are encouraged for kids and adults.

Families can join in the activities throughout the night. Brittany and Tyler will play live music in Unity Square, and Sympaticocious will perform on the Plaza.

On Saturday, Oct. 24, Blending Cultures Society Corp. will host the third annual Global Fusion Dance Night from 2 to 5 p.m. in Unity Square. The event is free and open to all ages. It is being held in partnership with Downtown Salisbury.

Guests will see music and dance traditions from around the world. Performances will include Mexican folk dance, Puerto Rican salsa, Indian Bollywood dance, Nepali folk dance and Nigerian Afrobeat.

Later that same day, the Downtown Business Association will host Rock and Fright from 4 to 10 p.m. in Downtown Salisbury. The evening will include five live bands and a vendor night market. There will also be a performance from Creative Movement, trunk-or-treating, food and drinks, and a kids movie.

Treat Street returns on Sunday, Oct. 25, from 3 to 6 p.m. at Main Street Plaza. The Salisbury Maryland Jaycees will host the afternoon of family-friendly Halloween fun. The event is open to children ages 12 and under, and each child must be with an adult.

Organizers say more details about Treat Street will be announced at a later time. We will pass along any updates as they become available.

Some downtown events may bring temporary street closures or changes to traffic patterns.
