Officer Assaulted in Ocean City: Police Search for Two Suspects

Ocean City, MD - The Ocean City Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying two suspects who assaulted an OCPD officer during an attempted arrest.

The incident happened around 7:03 p.m. near 10th Street and Wilmington Lane. Officers tried to arrest a male suspect for an alcohol violation when things quickly escalated.

The male suspect resisted arrest. A female with him then stepped in and began physically assaulting the officer in an attempt to stop the arrest. During the struggle, the male's white t-shirt was ripped off, revealing a blue tank top underneath. Both suspects then fled south from the area.

Suspect #1 - Male - The first suspect is described as a light-skinned male with short dark hair and a goatee. He was last seen wearing black Nike shorts, a blue tank top, and no shoes.

Suspect #2 - Female - The second suspect is a light-skinned female with long hair, a belly button ring, and a tattoo on her left midsection or rib area. She was last seen wearing light-colored pants, a light-colored cropped top, and pink Crocs.
