Overnight Fire Damages Federalsburg Church

Caroline County, MD - On August 5, 2026 at approximately 11:46 p.m., the Federalsburg Volunteer Fire Company responded to the Church of the Nazarene, located at 3381 Houston Branch Road in Federalsburg, Maryland for a structure fire.

The fire was discovered by a passerby. Sixty-two firefighters worked for one hour and ten minutes to bring the fire under control. It was reported as a one alarm fire.

Damage is estimated at $300,000 to the structure and $50,000 to its contents. The area of origin and cause of the fire remain under investigation.
