Pocomoke City to Host 2026 Maryland State Softball Tournament
Pocomoke City, MD - Pocomoke City is about to have a big summer. The 2026 Maryland State Softball Tournament is coming to town, and it is bringing players, families, and fans from across the state.
Pocomoke Little League, working alongside Maryland District 8, the City of Pocomoke, and Worcester County Recreation and Parks, announced that Pocomoke City has been chosen to host the tournament. It is a major event for the area and a great opportunity for the community.
The tournament is set for July 11 through 13, 2026. Players in the Junior Division, ages 12 to 14, and Senior Division, ages 13 to 16, will compete for a shot at the Eastern Regional Mid-Atlantic Tournament in Bristol, Connecticut later in July.
All games will be played at the Newtowne Park Recreational Sports Complex on Groton Road in Pocomoke City. A full service concession stand will be on site for fans and visitors. A game schedule and bracket will be released at a later date.
