Rock Hall House Fire Leaves One Person Displaced
Kent County, MD - On September 17, 2026 at approximately 9:44 a.m., the Rock Hall Volunteer Fire Company responded to the 6300 block of Rock Hall Road in Rock Hall, Maryland for a residential structure fire.
The home was a one story, wood frame, single family dwelling in Kent County, Maryland.
The occupant discovered the fire and made it out of the house safely. That person has now been displaced from the home.
About 30 firefighters worked the scene to bring the fire under control. It took about 45 minutes to get the flames contained.
Fire officials say the blaze started in the interior living room. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Damage to the structure and its contents is estimated by the State Fire Marshal's Office at $200,000 dollars. This was reported as a one alarm fire.
