Seaford, DE - On August 4, 2026, officers from the Seaford Police Department responded to Stoney Brooke Apartments for a reported vehicle collision in the parking lot. When officers arrived, they made contact with Lyle Wright. He told them he had accidentally backed into another car.

Officers noticed clear signs that Wright was intoxicated. He was not physically able to complete field sobriety tests. Based on what officers observed, Wright was arrested for driving under the influence.

This arrest comes just two days after Wright was issued a no contact order with driving. That order was put in place following two separate DUI arrests within the previous week. Being behind the wheel again violated that order.

Wright now faces the following charges:

  • Driving a Vehicle Under the Influence of Drugs (Misdemeanor)
  • Breach of Release (Misdemeanor)

Because of his level of intoxication, Wright was not arraigned. He was instead committed to the Delaware Department of Corrections.
