Sock Dispute Leads to Three Arrests at Rita's Italian Ice
Queen Anne's County, MD - On July 26, 2026, at approximately 7:15 p.m., Queen Anne's County Sheriff's Office deputies were dispatched to the Rita's Italian Ice in Stevensville, Maryland for a report of a physical disturbance.
When deputies arrived, bystanders had already separated everyone involved in the disturbance.
Deputies spoke with each person at the scene to figure out what happened. The investigation showed the fight started over a dispute involving a mutual child's sock.
Surveillance video from the area was reviewed as part of the investigation. Deputies determined the physical altercation was mutual between the parties involved.
All three individuals told deputies they wanted to move forward with charges. As a result, all three were placed under arrest.
Ja'Myra Chester, 27, of Linkwood, Kaleb Cooper, 26, of Rosedale, and Jala Graham, 23, of Laurel, were each charged with second degree assault.
