The Public wants to know why Hunter’s Case has not gained more attention?

Accomack County, VA - Over the past few months, we have received countless requests asking why we have not run with a story about little boy named Hunter, who now resides in Delaware, whose life was changed forever at the young age of 6-weeks old while living in Chincoteague, Virginia.

Hunter was the victim of Shaken Baby Syndrome. He sustained a TBI, seizures, cerebral palsy, and is legally blind among other things, as a result of an incident that took place on October 11, 2022.

Hunter was found unresponsive in his great-grandmother's home, who at the time worked for the Chincoteague Police Department.

For many years, nothing happened. The biological parents, who will now be referred to as "suspects", were not investigated at the time and from our understanding, were not even questioned.

Those responsible for this poor child's injuries were not charged, the suspects sort of flew under the radar and little to no action was taken.

However, Hunter has an amazing set of new parents, who love and adore this child, like every loving family should, who have officially adopted him and never gave up fighting for this little boy and never gave up hope that one day, the suspects responsible for Hunter's health and well-being, would have to face the consequences of their alleged actions.

That day finally came..... Carlton Edward Robbins and Amber Nicole Leager, the suspects, have both been officially charged with 2 counts of Abuse/Neglect Child: cause Serious Injury and 1 count of Assault: malicious, victim severely injured.

These two individuals were recently arrested in Delaware and were held on a $25,000 bond. They have since been extradited back to Accomack County, Virginia, where they will soon be tried for their charges.

There will be a criminal trial, which Eastern Shore Undercover will be attending and will keep the community up to date on the results of this trial.
