Three Men Surrender After Seaford Burglary Attempt

Seaford, DE - On September 12, Seaford Police officers responded to the 23000 block of Atlanta Road to help Delaware State Police with a reported burglary in progress. A caller said three men parked a vehicle away from a nearby home and put a rag in one of its windows to make it look broken down.

The caller said the men then put on ski masks and went inside a vacant house nearby. Seaford officers reached the scene before the Delaware State Police K9 unit arrived and set up a perimeter around the home.

While officers held the perimeter, one of the men tried to climb out of a window. He went back inside once officers announced they were there.

Delaware State Police personnel arrived a short time later, and officers moved in toward the house. All three men came out through the front door and surrendered without any further trouble.
