Tilghman Island Man Arrested on Drug Charges After Traffic Stop on Tilghman Island Road
Talbot County, MD - A Talbot County man was arrested on drug charges earlier this month after deputies pulled over a vehicle on Tilghman Island Road.
On May 4, 2026, deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff's Office stopped a vehicle near Macks Lane for an equipment violation. A K-9 unit was brought in to assist, and deputies developed probable cause to search the vehicle.
During the search, a passenger was identified as James Andrew Dotson Jr., 33, of Tilghman, Maryland. Deputies found Dotson in possession of a controlled substance.
Dotson was placed under arrest and charged with possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia. He was then transported to the Talbot County Central Booking facility for processing.
Dotson appeared before a District Court Commissioner and was released on his own personal recognizance.
