Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Arrest in Talbot County

Talbot County, MD - On September 16, 2026, deputies with the Talbot County Sheriff's Office stopped a vehicle on Matthewstown Road near Fisher Range Road. The stop was made for a registration violation.

Deputies identified the driver as Shannon Lee Bordley, 58, of Centreville, Maryland. During the stop, deputies developed probable cause to search the vehicle.

The search turned up a controlled substance inside the vehicle. Bordley was placed under arrest following the discovery.

Bordley was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia.

While processing the arrest, deputies learned Bordley had an outstanding warrant out of Kent County. The warrant was issued by the Kent County Circuit Court for failing to appear on traffic citations.

Bordley was transferred to the custody of the Kent County Sheriff's Office to address that warrant.
