Two Arrested for Burglary on Meadow Ave in Cambridge

Cambridge, MD - At approximately 10:54 a.m. on September 1, 2026, Cambridge Police Department officers responded to the 700 block of Meadow Ave for a report of a burglary at an abandoned residence.

Officers knocked on the door and were met by an individual whom they identified as Tyrone Anthony Cropper, 41, of Cambridge, MD.

While officers were speaking with Cropper, a woman came out from inside the home. She was later identified as Shakre Chamar Rich, 40, also of Cambridge, MD.

Neither Cropper nor Rich had permission to be inside the residence. Both were placed under arrest and taken to CPD for processing. They were each charged with Burglary 4th Degree.

Cropper currently has the following open cases:
-5/26/2026 - Violation of Probation for Trespassing: Private Property
-7/23/2026 - Disorderly Conduct (Court Pending)
-7/23/2026 - Shall Not Set Up Tent On City Property To Sleep Over Night (Court Pending)
-9/1/2026 - Burglary 4th Degree (Court Pending)
-9/7/2026 - Burglary 4th Degree (Court Pending)

Both subjects were later released on their own recognizance by a court commissioner. Rich was then transported to Caroline County and handed over to the Caroline County Sheriff's Office on an active warrant.
