Two Bridgeville Men Arrested on Drug, Weapon Charges
Sussex County, DE - On August 7, 2026, members of the Delaware State Police Sussex County Special Investigations Unit and the Special Operations Response Team executed a search warrant on the 21000 block of Mill Park Drive in Bridgeville, Delaware.
The warrant followed an investigation into 49-year-old William Charleston and 47-year-old Jerome Charleston, both of Bridgeville, for the distribution of illegal narcotics from the property.
A child was present in the home during the search. Both men were detained without incident.
A search of the residence and vehicles on the property turned up about 85.19 grams of crack cocaine and 1.23 grams of heroin. Troopers also found a .32 caliber handgun, ammunition, a digital scale, drug paraphernalia, and $1,410 in suspected drug proceeds.
William Charleston was taken to Troop 4, where he was charged with manufacture, delivery, and possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, and operating a clandestine laboratory.
He also faces charges of conspiracy second degree, endangering the welfare of a child by committing a drug offense with a child in the home, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arraigned by the Justice of the Peace and released on a $111,600 unsecured bond.
Jerome Charleston was also taken to Troop 4. He was charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a person previously convicted of two violent felonies.
He faces additional charges of possession of a firearm or ammunition by a person prohibited due to a prior violent crime or felony, manufacture, delivery, and possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, and possession of a controlled substance.
Jerome Charleston was also charged with conspiracy second degree, operating a clandestine laboratory, endangering the welfare of a child by committing a drug offense with a child in the home, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was arraigned by the Justice of the Peace and committed to the Department of Correction on a $215,100 cash bond.
