Two Cambridge Residents Arrested for Burglary, Drug Charges
Cambridge, MD - Two Cambridge residents are facing multiple criminal charges after police caught them at a home on Peachblossom Avenue last week.
At approximately 4:25 p.m. on May 22, 2026, Cambridge Police Department officers responded to the 800 block of Peachblossom Avenue after receiving a report of a burglary in progress.
When officers arrived, they found a woman standing on the front porch of the residence.
Officers began checking the home and found a man attempting to climb out of a rear window. Both individuals were taken into custody at the scene.
The woman was identified as Satasha Monique Sharp, 39, of Cambridge. The man was identified as Rudell Askins Jr., 68, also of Cambridge.
During the arrests, officers found controlled dangerous substances on both individuals. They were transported to Cambridge Police Department headquarters for processing.
Sharp and Askins were later released on $5,000 unsecured bond each.
Both were charged with Burglary in the Third Degree, Burglary in the Fourth Degree, Trespass on Posted Property, CDS Possession Not Cannabis, and CDS Possession of Paraphernalia.
