Two Easton Men Arrested After Talbot County Deputies Find Controlled Substance in Vehicle
Talbot County, MD - Two Easton men were arrested on May 6, 2026, after Talbot County Sheriff's Office deputies found a controlled substance inside their vehicle during a roadside stop on Dutchman's Lane.
Deputies noticed the vehicle partially blocking the roadway with its emergency flashers on. After making contact, they developed probable cause to search the car.
During the search, deputies located a controlled substance inside the vehicle. Both the driver and front seat passenger were placed under arrest at the scene.
The driver was identified as Frelin Andony Ramerez-Cortez, 21, of Easton, Maryland. The front seat passenger was identified as Herlin Misael Majia-Chacon, 21, also of Easton, Maryland.
Both men were transported to the Talbot County Central Booking facility for processing. They each appeared before a District Court Commissioner for an initial appearance.
Following their appearances, both Ramerez-Cortez and Majia-Chacon were held pending further action by the courts. No additional details about the type or amount of the controlled substance were released at this time.
