Two Teens Charged in Porter Street Home Invasion Attempt
Seaford, DE - On Saturday, October 31, 2026, the Seaford Police Department responded to the 600 block of Porter Street in Seaford, DE, for a report of a burglary in progress. As a result of their investigation, two juveniles are now facing charges.
When officers got to Porter Street, they were told that two suspects had already fled the scene but before leaving, the pair had damaged the front door of the home.
Officers didn't have to search for long. The two juveniles were identified and found a short time later.
Both teens face the same four charges. Two of them are felonies, attempted home invasion and second degree conspiracy. They're also charged with criminal mischief and terroristic threatening.
One of the juveniles was released to a guardian on an unsecured bail. The other juvenile was committed to the Department of Corrections (juvenile) on a $6,100 secured bond.
That wasn't the end of it for the second juvenile. Police say that after learning about the commitment, the teen damaged police department property and tried to spit on officers.
The juvenile was then turned over to the Department of Corrections. More charges were added later.
The new charges are two counts of terroristic threatening, along with disorderly conduct and criminal mischief. The teen is also charged with offensive touching of a law enforcement officer.
In total, the second juvenile now faces nine charges from the incident and what happened after the court hearing. The first juvenile faces the original four.
