Salisbury, MD - On Sunday, April 12, the City of Salisbury Department of Waterworks Utilities Division is scheduled to replace a 4-inch water valve. This necessary infrastructure maintenance will be conducted in the 100 block of 2nd Street, weather permitting.

The project is being completed as part of ongoing municipal efforts to repair and improve the local water distribution system.

To facilitate this project, a temporary road closure will be implemented. Beginning at 8 a.m., 2nd Street will be closed to all through traffic between Delaware Avenue and Hill Street. The roadway is expected to be reopened by approximately 5 p.m.

Additionally, a temporary water service interruption will occur for residents in the immediate vicinity. Water service will be suspended from 12 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Barring any unforeseen circumstances, all water service is expected to be fully restored by 5 p.m.

All local utility locators and Central Alarm have been notified of the project.
