West Seaford Elementary Aide Faces Six New Charges

Seaford, DE - Christopher E. Sarabia, a staff member at West Seaford Elementary School, now faces six more felony charges. Seaford Police filed the new charges on October 26, 2026, just three days after his first arrest.

Many of you will recall, we posted about this incident on October 23, 2026 and at that time, the name and photo were not provided. We have not obtained the name and the photo from the Seaford Police Department.

Sarabia is 20 years old and lives in Seaford, DE. He worked at the school as a paraprofessional, which is a classroom aide who helps teachers and works with students during the school day.

The first arrest came on October 23, 2026. The Seaford Police Department's Criminal Investigations Division charged Sarabia with two counts of Sexual Abuse of a Child by Someone in a Position of Trust.

That charge is used when the person accused holds a role of trust or authority over a child. Each count is a class D felony in Delaware.

On October 26, police added three more counts of that same charge. They also charged him with three counts of Dangerous Crime Against a Minor Under 14, and each of those is a class B felony.

A class B felony is a step above a class D felony in Delaware, so these new charges are more serious. With all of the counts added together, Sarabia now faces eight felony charges.

After his first arrest, he went before a Justice of the Peace Court. He was sent to the Delaware Department of Correction on $20,000 cash bail.

He's still being held there. The new charges came with an added $210,000 cash bail. Cash bail means the full amount has to be paid in cash before someone can be released.

Police say the investigation is still open. Detectives want to hear from anyone who knows about incidents involving Sarabia, whether they're tied to West Seaford Elementary School or not.
