Wicomico County, MD - What started as a welfare check turned into a major weapons seizure for the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office.

On May 26, 2026, road patrol deputies responded to a home on the southeast side of Wicomico County after a report of a possible cocaine overdose. When they arrived, they found a man behaving erratically with an extension cord wrapped around one arm and going to his neck.

While checking on the man, deputies spotted multiple firearms, 3D printers, and numerous 3D printed gun parts inside the residence.

That observation led investigators to act quickly. The next day, on May 27, members of the Criminal Investigation Division used that information to obtain a search and seizure warrant for the property.

On May 28, the Sheriff's Emergency Response Team, Criminal Investigation Division, and Joint Community Action Team carried out the warrant together.

What they found inside was substantial.

Deputies seized 24 long guns, including hunting rifles, AR platform rifles, AK style rifles, and shotguns. They also took 20 handguns of various makes and models, along with 7 ghost gun platforms.

Investigators recovered 3 three-dimensional printers, a large quantity of ammunition, and a large amount of 3D printed gun parts, lower receivers, and accessories. Controlled dangerous substances and a large amount of drug paraphernalia were also found at the scene.

Authorities noted that most of the guns were loaded with magazines in place and a round already in the chamber when they were seized.
