Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office Seeks Help Identifying Bank Fraud Suspect

Wicomico County, MD - The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office is asking the public for help identifying someone caught on security footage. The individual was last seen at Hebron Savings Bank on Mt. Hermon Road in Salisbury, Maryland.

Detectives say this person is the primary suspect and/or a person of interest in an ongoing investigation. The investigation involves malicious destruction of property, theft, fraud, and identity theft.

Investigators say the individual used a stolen identification card in an attempt to fraudulently withdraw funds from a bank account using that card.

The identification card had been reported stolen from a parked vehicle less than 48 hours before the attempted withdrawal. Detectives have also connected this same individual to identity theft and possession of stolen property.

At this time, due to the fact they have not been able to identify the individual, they have not been charged with any crimes related to this investigation. They are also not wanted at this time.

Detectives simply want to identify and speak with the individual. They believe this person may have information that could help move the investigation forward.
