Wicomico Rec & Parks Opens Fall Youth Sports

Salisbury, MD - Wicomico Recreation & Parks is gearing up for fall sports. The department is offering soccer, softball and basketball programs for kids in the community this season.

The Wicomico Youth Soccer League is open to children ages 2 to 13. Volunteer coaches lead the league, which focuses on skill building, teamwork and fun.

Registration fees vary depending on age division.

Girls can also sign up for Junior Girls Fall Softball. The recreational league is split into two divisions, 12 and under and 16 and under. Teams learn softball basics while focusing on participation, teamwork and sportsmanship. Team entry costs $700.

Basketball is returning too with the WYBL Skills Academy. The program teaches basketball fundamentals in a fun, non-competitive setting. Session 1 runs from Sept. 8 to 24, and Session 2 follows from Oct. 6 to 22. The program fee is $60 per participant.

Families can register for any of these programs online at www.WicomicoRecandParks.org. In-person registration is also available at the Wicomico Civic Center box office. The box office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
